About you
We’re looking for an experienced fire systems tester to join us.

This role is perfect for you if you:
- Can travel within Sydney metro area with a current NSW (manual) driver’s licence
- Want to evolve alongside day-to-day challenges of working with clients and improving client relationships
- Have excellent communication skills and prioritise punctuality
- Are a self-starter with organisation skills, computer and smartphone skills
- Are able to represent DEM Fire with a neat work appearance
In addition, the following are preferred criteria:
- Experience in Fire Service Testing & Emergency Lighting Testing
- Cert II in Fire Protection
- FPAS Accreditation Inspect and Test
- Current Police Check & Working with Children Check
Join our essential fire systems testing team
Our inspection and testing team services a broad portfolio of clients. Every day is different, with you providing support to industries such as education, commercial and retail, logistics and storage, industrial manufacturing, hospitality and tourism, residential strata and public venues.
Our clients include Goodman International, Colliers, Trend Pac, ESR, Sydney Olympic Park Authority, Opera Australia and the University of Technology, Sydney.
As part of our essential fire systems testing team, you’ll work Monday to Friday, with one RDO (Rostered Day Off) each month.
You’ll be overseeing areas like Fire Indication Panels (FIPs), detection, EWIS, OWS, fire doors, fire extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels and hydrants. You’ll also test and inspect exit and emergency lighting.
